September 19, 2012Ellen FolmanUncategorizedComments Off on River Rangers: Bike with a Ranger

This Saturday, September 22nd, join rangers from the National Park Service for a bike ride around the river and campus! The ride will begin and end at Coffman Memorial Union, on the side facing the Northrop mall area. Start time is 1pm and we will be ending at approximately 3 pm.

The bike ride will feature a few stops around the Mississippi River and University of Minnesota campus, where you will learn about the unique cultural and natural resources that surround us. For participating on our ride, you will also receive a free River Rangers Bike Ride button!

Don’t have a bike? No problem! There will be a limited number of bikes available for use, including 6 Nice Ride Bikes, free of charge. Feel free to bring your own bike along, however. Helmets are required, but will be available to borrow as well.

Please RSVP to Erin Aadalen at: : by no later than midnight on Friday, September 21st, and let her know if you will need a bike and/or helmet.
