River Rangers Kickoff Meeting

September 12, 2012Ellen FolmanUncategorizedComments Off on River Rangers Kickoff Meeting

Welcome to River Rangers!

River Rangers is a student group which works to connect students and the University community to the Mississippi River. A large portion of the University of Minnesota is situated in a National Park – the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area – and as River Rangers, we want students to be aware that they go to school, and many live, within a national park!

This Thursday, September 13th we will be having our first meeting of the semester at 6pm in Coffman, room 319. At the meeting, we cover the different activities we will have throughout the semester, which include Biking with a Ranger, service events, career building and networking workshops, canoeing, snowshoeing, geocaching and camping. A Ranger with the National Park Service will also be at the meeting to walk us along the river and talk about the unique stretch of the Mississippi that we have running through campus.
