Important Milestone for River, University

For some time now, River Life has been spreading the word that the University of Minnesota is a great university on a great river in a national park.  In fact, this convergence forms the basis of our work, as we explore and develop “win-win-win” programs and projects that benefit the river, the University (and its students, faculty, and programs) and our communities.

Earlier this summer, people from the University of Minnesota Foundation got in touch and asked if we’d help put together a short visual piece highlighting the connections between the University and the Mississippi.

Duh–of course we would!

The result is here, and if I may say so, I think they did a great job (pay no attention to that character on the right with his pants rolled up.  Must not have gotten the “We’ll be in the water today” memo!)

Seriously, click on the numbers in the image to learn more about some of the rich variety of ways in which University programs take advantage of our stunning location.  And many many thanks to the people at the Foundation for the chance to highlight this part of the University’s work.  They make great things happen!
