If a Picture Is Worth 1,000 Words, What About a Video?

My guess is, it would be a lot.  I know the two videos that we just added to our home page are great stories that capture the heart of what River Life is all about.

In “Come Along for a Water Walk” local meteorologist Laura Betker beautifully illustrated both the campus’ great location on the Mississippi River, but also the ways in which our work is inherently about teaching and learning.

The University of Minnesota Foundation’s “Gifts at Work” feature frames our focus on teaching and engaging students nicely along with our colleague Jessica Kozarek and her work at the St. Anthony Falls Outdoor Stream Lab.  And, lest you think that the river is only about research at the University, there’s a nice clip of the women’s rowing team as well.  It’s all at this link.

Take a few minutes, watch these videos, and let us know how you’d like to be involved with River Life.  Comments to this post are welcome, or you can email us at
