RIVER LIFE

River Life Coverage of National Issues

If you know where to look, or are in the “river business,” then of course rivers make news every day. But sometimes, as in the case of theĀ Mississippi River floods of 2011, rivers make national news, reaching the concerns of a very broad audience.

When those national issues speak to our programmatic concerns on river sustainability and an inclusive future for rivers, then we’ll devote extra staff time and attention to chronicling the news, tracking deep-seated issues that emerge, and sorting out where you could look for reliable, accessible information.

These projects make up the heart of our “River Issues” pages, where you can look for indepth attention to particular subjects that we believe have enduring value and resonance.

Have an idea?

If you have come to this page and find that we have not collected information about a particular issue that concerns you, send us a note; we’ll see what we can do to develop something!
